JOHN NOBLE, Coordinating Author, History, The Culture, Environment, Tabasco & Chiapas, Directory, Transport John has felt the pull of Mexico ever since reading the barely credible story of Cortes and the Aztecs as a teenager. A backpacking trip many moons ago took him to Mexico and he has returned for extended visits ever since. As an author on eight editions of this guide (six as coordinating author), he has explored almost every part of the country. He loves Mexico's art, archaeology, history, music, ethnic diversity, languages, food, drinks, traditional culture, beaches, wildlife and stunningly varied landscapes. John now lives in Spain-which provides yet another angle on what makes Mexico tick.
