The 10th edition of this major reference work has been substantially revised, with only the chapters on radiography of the skull and facial bones and the section on normal bony variants still mainly by Caffey and Silverman, the original editors. New coverage includes the hazards of radiation exposure to children, an emphasis on MRI and ultrasonography for cardiac images, high-resolution computed tomography images for respiratory disease, a chapter on abdominal trauma, the use of MRI on bone and soft tissue neoplasms, and a chapter on child abuse. The chapters are authored and organized by organ systems, anatomy, and pathology, with initial chapters in each section providing an overview to the system or field. Over half of the images are new, and the reading lists have been completely updated. There are three editors: Kuhn (emeritus, radiology, State U. of New York, Buffalo), Thomas L.
